Robert King Racing

Robert was born in Rutland, VT. He graduated from Granville High School in 2003. Robert and his partner Jim Wood own 518 Auto Sales in Queensbury, NY.

Robert King started racing go-karts at the age of 10. His first night of karting he won his first feature. (1st race- 1st place) Throughout his karting career he had numerous track championships and title wins. His kart racing took him as far away as the WKA North American Karting Nationals at Lowe's Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Robert made the move from karts directly to modifieds at the age of 16 at Devils Bowl Speedway in a small block. Racing only the last half of a season there, he was taken under the wing of the Romano racing family. Andy brought Robert to Johnstown and introduced to him son Mike and the rest is history. The following spring, after purchasing a big block modified, Robert attended Mike's School of Driving at Fonda Speedway.
Mike took the diamond in the rough and helped develop the driver in him.

Robert has his own equipment ( two modifieds) which he runs at various venues throughout the northeast including Brewerton and Fulton for the Victoria 200 mini-series. Robert has two feature wins at Fonda Speedway.

Robert was hired by Sam and Linda Smith to drive the 72VT. They have a small block car which is run regularly at Glen Ridge Motorsports Park and the  big block car at Fonda Speedway. Robert posted a win at Glenridge on Friday, July 6, 2007.
